So I was trying to write my speech for school, which is required for graduation, but I was having a hard time. I was thinking about writing about my favorite films, which if you know me, you know that cinema is a huge part of my life!
So ANYWAY! Yeah I logged onto Stardoll to check my mail and do a little shopping. Now normally I dont bother to read the magazine, because lets face it, they never have anything really interesting to say. I mean I get more info from blogs (links in side bar ---->). The only thing I go there for is Hot Buy info and, during December, for the calender. But as I logged in, one of the topics in the Stardoll News bar caught my eye. I clicked on it and it redirected me to a page called
11 Styles of New Year Dress.
I, personally, LOVE the new couture dresses Stardoll has been making lately. And I especially love the Marc Jacobs Sweater shirt (purple & baggy) because I am MJ junkie. But I when I went to that page I was mildly horrified by what they had paired all of the gorgeous dresses with.
Which is why I have made my own.

I think with this particular dress, less is more. The cut outs are gorgeous and I would hate to ruin them. All I did was add some elegant gloves and a clutch to make it pop.

In reality I love the actual couture dress (yup its Marc!) but the way SD made it...I don't know...it makes me cringe. I think its because the hearts are outlined too darkly. But when its paired like this, I adore it. What I did was I took the black dress and skirt and put it underneath the actual dress. Then I added black gloves and sliver accessories. This is what I'll be wearing to the Gossip-Stardoll party this week!

With this I went for a pink feminine look....which really isn't my look--well I mean the feminine look is my look but not the pink look...you know what forget it. There are a lot of other ways you could make this look work, for example you could put a nice tee under it! I do like the style of the dress...just not the color :) !

Now the first one in the magazine was kind of nice. But I think which such a complex dress, you should make the accessories very simple so you can have the main focus be on the dress. This lovely Channel dress is paired with gold accessories which help bring out the light in the dress.

YAY! It's my Marc Jacobs sweater!! Personally I would LOVE it if it was in the original color (Yellow)but hey, beggers can't be choosers! So basically I went for a "Hey I'm an undercover celeb so please dont touch me," look that I love. I put a pair of leggings underneath plus some cute and comfy boots! And to top it off, so to speak, I put on my FAVORITE hat.
Fallen Angel

Now this might look complicated but it's really not. All you have to do is take all of those other dresses and arrange them at the bottom to make a nice flow-y bottom! It's a perfect, super cute dress to wear to parties in the Stardoll world!

I think this dress by itself is really cute. I love the paisley pattern. And I love the color scheme. All I did was add some cute accessories that matched to make the outfit a little more complex.

Ahh.....Marilyn Monroe's gown. This is such a gorgeous dress, so I didn't want to add anything to it. I just added some cute accessories like a cute purse and classic white gloves. I think the simplicity of this dress is what makes it so timeless and classy.

Hmm....I really dont like this dress. But I took the swimsuit and put it under the dress so you could see through to the the white. Then I found some cute boots to match! I think this dress is very....modern and goese great with the Space Vixen theme.

This has to be one of my favorites out of the collection. There is just something about it that makes me want to by a large bolt of that fabric and make everything out of it. Anyway I put black leggings and a black long sleeve sweater on underneath and added black Converse because Converse look really cute with certain dresses. They give you a nice punk look!
Woo. That's finally over. That whole thing took me three days because Im SUCH a procrastinator.
So yeah there you have it! My 11 Styles for the New Year! You dont have to use what I used to have a gorgeous outfit! Play around with layering with what you have and I bet you can make something even better than mine!
